Big day out

Noah and Sam had 2 doctors appointments today. The first was a followup visit with the Peds clinic at Georgetown. They downloaded the data from the monitor and the Dr. reviewed their breathing and heartrate history since they've been home. The Dr was very pleased with both of them and we'll take them off the caffeine starting this weekend. They will remain on the monitors for another month because the caffeine stays in their system for a very long time and it's just prudent to continue to monitor them until they reach "full term." The second visit was with their regular pediatrician. It was an adventure for Mom and I to pack them up and get out the door on time for both appointments. The boys were great though, only minimal screaming as they were poked and prodded. Noah now weighs a whopping 5 lbs 4 oz and is 18 inches long. Sam is up to 5 lb 11 oz and is 18 1/2 inches long. We're so lucky they are doing so well.

They (Sam!) had a much better night last night - of course, it's easy for me to say that because I slept! Jon might be a little more tired today though since he did the 2 am feeding! The Dr. told us to expect 2 growth spurts in the next few weeks and warned that the feeding schedule will go from every 3 hours to every 90 minutes. OH MY!

My mom has to leave this weekend though so the big question -- Who's signing up next for extra hands duty? :)
