Quick Update - 9/20

Together again - First time since Saturday!

The boys are just doing great. They spent a few days under the lights for some mild jaundice but they are out again for now. Their iv's are out and will hopefully stay out and they are already taking 25 cc's by bottle every 3 hours! Noah and Sam are both anxious eaters which bodes well for their growth and eventual homecoming. Noah is a little more calm and patient - Sam is still ticked off b/c Noah got him kicked out of his luxury accomodations though and can be a little more fussy.

We're still not sure when they might get to come home. The Dr said last night it could be as soon as 10 days but they are always prone to relapses - boys especially tend to have a few around the 4-5 day mark. There are three criteria the boys must meet before they can come home: 1. breathing on their own (they're doing this now but could have some relapses) 2. weigh a certain amount - (not quite there yet - in fact Noah is down to 3 lb 10 oz - losing a bit is normal) 3. be able to maintain their body temperatures outside of an isolette (not there yet either) The Dr's and nurses in the NICU are wonderful and taking very good care of us and our little ones.

Here are some additional pictures from yesterday: (let me know if this link doesn't)
