No Mommy No!

There are good things about the total explosion of words that have come to Noah and Sam these past 3 weeks and there are bad things! Being able to say "NO" is high on the list of bad things. But overall it's such a joy to hear them speak. It's truly remarkable how quickly they started talking - from saying almost nothing to saying words we didn't even teach them! ABC's and 123's are also coming quickly. Sam can pick up almost any tune and repeat it back even if he doesn't catch all the words. Noah's speaking very clearly and missing only a few key sounds at this point.
In addition, they really love each other's company. Sometimes they giggle just looking at each other. Of course, there are times when they fight or don't want to share attention from me or Jon but it's such a treat to see their faces light up when they see each other.

We've had a busy summer of fun activities -
Fingerpainting in the backyard:
Not sure if more paint got on the paper or on the boys:
Playing with each other: (see the smiles?)
Playing IN the water table. (Not WITH the table, IN the table..)
Sam desperately trying to put up 2 fingers to answer "how old are you?"
Blondie at the beach last weekend:

Dad and his Mini-me (Yes, their shorts match and no it wasn't planned!)
Noah chasing birds. Didn't want much to do with the waves!

My favorite part of every day is the silliness of toddlers. I believe this is my favorite age. Sure, it's hard, there are tantrums and strong willed little minds to battle (they get that from their father I'm sure) but the giggles and smiles they bring from their antics are just priceless.
