Sad day

Jon and I are heading to the vet to put Mabo to sleep. He's not been feeling well and steadily losing weight. I had to take him into the vet at 5 am this morning and they found blood on his stomach - possibly a mass in his spleen has ruptured or the mass we were watching in his liver. We could do surgery but it would only give him 2 months at best and the doctor said he is likely feeling very bad. We don't want him to suffer nor put him through surgery or chemo. I've had Mabo since he was about 6 months old, so today is going to be very hard. We are going to miss him very very much.
